2020 PE Recruiting for Non-Targets
Curious as to how the early process affected analysts coming from non target schools. Can anyone share their experience or what they saw from peers?

Career Resources
Both myself and a friend (both non-targets but still decent top-50 schools) had a very tough go of things despite being at good groups at our respective BBs. Think the earlier things get, the more emphasis there is on candidate prestige, which is being counterbalanced with increased allocation of spots to off-cycle recruiting.
Thanks DalaiLama, mind if I PM you with some specific questions?
Sure, happy to answer
Had a similar experience last year. Even coming from a top group at MS/GS/Evercore made it more challenging to get MF interviews. Think networking can help with this but sadly not avoidable.
