Rising junior here. Is it too late to start recruiting for next summer growth PE internships? I want to be on the east coast but it seems like a lot of firms have already closed.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not necessarily too late to recruit for growth equity PE internships for next summer, but timing is critical. Many top-tier firms may have already filled their spots, especially on the East Coast, as PE recruiting often starts early. However, there are still opportunities if you act quickly and strategically.
Here’s what you can do:
Target Smaller or Boutique Firms: While larger firms may have closed their recruiting, smaller or boutique growth equity firms often have more flexible timelines. These firms may still be looking for candidates.
Leverage Networking: Reconnect with your network or build new connections. Reach out to alumni, professionals, or anyone in your network who can provide insights or referrals. A well-timed informational interview can open doors.
Focus on Cold Outreach: Send tailored emails to firms that interest you. Highlight your skills, interest in growth equity, and why you’re a good fit for their team.
Utilize WSO Resources: Consider using tools like the WSO Company Database to identify firms that are still hiring. Additionally, WSO offers resume reviews and mock interviews to help you stand out.
Stay Persistent: Even if some firms have closed, others may have unexpected openings or last-minute needs. Keep applying and following up.
Act quickly, as the window for summer internships is closing fast.

Would say most growth PE firms finished a while back. Would recommend you look into ft recruiting but generally speaking there’s usually spots that are open if a kid doesn’t take return.
