My my, the markets are forgetful. It wasn’t that long ago when my boy Adam was surfing while awaiting a multi billion dollar paycheck... before he got hit by a huge wave (let’s call it that).

Anyone knows what the former billionaire has been up to lately? How much is he worth now?

 
 

Could someone here articulate the investment thesis for WeWork’s pre-attempted IPO investors? Sure hindsight is 20/20, but I don’t understand what about the operating model was considered high margin, high growth (per WeWork location, they can obviously keep making new locations), or defensible. Just curious as they had some big names behind them.

I also say this as a former WeWork user.

I also say this as a former WeWork user.

You could ask this about essentially any "disruptor" tech startup.  Find a business, lose money, call it "tech" and sell it to a bunch of "savvy" "investors" who really are just folks with too much money because rates are low.
