Adams Street Partners

Hey guys - I'm currently exploring some opportunities with Adams Street Partners, would love to get some insight on culture and comp at the associate, sr associate and VP level. Mainly for the secondary and co-investment team. All insights are welcome.

Thanks

As the other guy mentioned, Adams Street falls into the category of lifestyle FOF (let's be honest, what FOF isn't lifestyle these days?). Comp will be fine but certaintly below market in tandem with workload and expectations. Hamilton Lane, StepStone, etc. are all seen more as LPs/consultants than actual GPs. You'd be competing for scraps while the likes of actual LP-turned-GPs (Mubadala, CPPIB, etc.) scoop up the most competitive co-investments & direct deals. If you want a chill lifestyle, these these FOFs are for you. If you want something more rigorous, then I suggest the likes of the bigger aforementioned LPs or GPs obviously.
