Advice Needed: International in US PE Going to MBA (H1B expired)
For some background - worked in IBD, have spent last few years in PE at very well regarded MM fund. I got the H1B when I graduated college and my 6 years are up. I will be attending a M7 school (got in round 1) and want to go back into PE.
For internationals who have been through the process - can you please help and provide your experiences on the difficulty of getting a post-MBA VP gig? It is hard enough as a US citizen so am a bit worried as an international passport holder from one of the "backlog countries "(China / India / Korea)
Interested, will you be able to do H1b again?
You can do h1b again.
or you can just get your gc application in and keep renewing work authorization
Is that what most people do once they're close to H1B expiration - submit a GC application through the employer and keep renewing authorization? Are folks allowed to keep working once they turn in their GC application (sorry just curious as I'm currently on H1B and have to plan out long-term goals)
