Alpine Investors vs Susquehanna Growth

Two great companies having a hard time picking between the two. Analyst comp is similar with Alpine slightly higher but they’re in SF and SGE is in Philly. Culture is great across both firms and they both have A2A. SGE is GE focusing on only tech and alpine is diversified. Idrk which one has a better name/exit opps but would love to hear the arguments of one over the other.

Depends on what your goals and interests are. If you're interested in growth equity, SGE. If you're interested in private equity, Alpine. If you're interested in being an investor long-term, SGE allows analysts to source and do deal execution (plus they internally promote as you mentioned). If you're interested in being an operator long-term / working with mature companies, Alpine gives their analysts tons of ownership. Both fantastic firms at what they do and exit opps are strong (can just do a quick Linkedin search), but what they do is different enough to where this shouldn't be too difficult a decision. Except maybe the idea of having to live in Philly.
