AN1 speculating about timeline to a Ferrari
I’m currently AN1 making street pay. Assuming I follow a normal 2 years IB and then into PE, at what income/seniority will I be reasonably making my enough to buy a Ferrari 12 cillindri (~$500k)

Please point out a $500k 12cilindri to me. My rule of thumb is that (assuming you're living in NYC), a car purchase is prudent, but on the right side of aggressive at 20% of your annual income or 10% of your net worth. Given a 12c is still north of $600k, you're talking about a $3mm annual income or $6mm net worth. If you're exceptionally lucky, you'll get there in your late 30s but more like your 40s.
Can’t you go for something cheaper? I waited 8 years to buy my first sports car (not hyper car) and you can learn in it and trade up from there if you feel the need (I don’t feel the need)
Exactly cause it’s not like a Ferrari would be your first car. You build up to it and have other expenses in life you spend on first. Takes that much longer for that reason unless you are willing to donate 200k in a short term lease
