Anxious An1 at MS

MS layoffs of 3K targeted in IBD and S&T will likely translate to -15% of IBD workforce. If I have a PE offer already lined up for 2024 and get cut a year in what are my options? What % roughly of PE firms would be accommodating if it was not a glaring performance issue that led to the layoffs? How worried should I be? The language in my contract is very vague and does not have any language around prior employment requirements.

I'd relax because its out of your control. You are in IB at a top 3 bank. Worst case scenario, you get laid off with a strong resume experience and will be ready for your next opportunity. Regardless you will be fine.
