Anyone have any info on Lindsay Goldberg?

I know that they're industrials focused, with long hold times and their associates are all very well pedigreed, but I was wondering if anyone had info with regards to culture and comps as well as career track (e.g. direct promote vs. b-school) and general reputation

Thanks

Very solid MM firm. Focus mainly on growth buyouts (e.g. partnering with strong existing management/platforms, no fundamental operational changes), have long hold periods, pretty diversified by sector but have historically done a lot in industrials. Senior team has worked together for a long time.

Also don't think they've ever had a write-off.

Hope that's helpful.

This covers most of the essential details. LG is very keen on purchasing founder-run businesses and they make great note of their 10-20 year hold periods. They tend to pursue multiple add-on acquisitions during the hold period. Performance has been solid historically, and they are currently in the market raising Fund IV with a target of $4.0bn (same as Fund III).

Happy to answer other questions via PM.
