Have applied to a Credit job in Apollo’s London office and have been told by the manager that I have the job, but an offer can’t be issued since there is a hiring freeze at the moment. Does anyone have a view on this? I think it’s BS, but would be helpful to get a view from someone who knows more than me, ideally an insider.

There is a hiring freeze but expected to end shortly. Anyone with an outstanding offer from prior to the hiring freeze is able to join.
Thanks, just out of curiosity, how’d you know this? This is what I’ve heard from the team too, but I’m trying to gauge whether it’s just the party line or not
