Are there any true crossover funds where you cover both publics and privates at the VP level?
Look I know it's ridiculous to say, ok this guy should cover both publics and privates across industries as someone right after MBA. That's just too big of a bite to chew.
But if you were to get one sector to cover from seed to a few years IPO in one of the industries that has extremely strong activity there, that would make sense, right?
It's just a big of a bite to chew as something like, generalist late stage venture, or generalist public; instead, you're just slicing vertically instead of horizontally. Your expertise is the domain, not the asset class.
Hey Associate 2 in PE - LBOs, I'm here to break the silence...any of these links help you?:

Depends on the fund. Two off the top of my head that have you working on privates and publics at the junior level are Dragoneer (in their hybrid groups) and Greenoaks. Both will hire out of MFPE, not sure if either hire out of MBA (not saying it can’t happen, just haven’t looked into it at all)
Thank you!
