Someone’s said Ares Private Equity out of undergraduate pays 170-200k. It’s Ares first summer with a credit group pipeline, so you won’t find any numbers, but the PE group pay seems to imply it’ll be above-the-street most likely. Covid is gonna impact everyone’s bonuses this year tho.
FWIW 170-200K is in line with most large PE firm analyst programs other than Blackstone
You’re right that it’s important to point out, but I meant IB out of undergrad street, there’s like 4-5 large pe firms that hire out of undergrad (only other pe firm pay I’ve heard is Warburg Pincus pays 180k, no bucket so yes you’re right), and to my knowledge only KKR has a similar pipeline program in credit. Not really a street to compare, so I think comparable applicant pool pay is a good metric considering these kids just want to get paid more than their peers in IB.
how are exits if you don’t want to do crédit long term?

Exits include other credit firms, credit hedge funds, levfin at an IB, special sits / distressed HF and credit funds, LMM to MM equity (bit more difficult, but doable especially with Ares name)

does anyone know anything about their real estate arm?
.
Do you know what they say hours/culture are like?
Would love to hear more about credit comps to compare, given that PE pays higher than private credit.
Same
What’s the updated comp for PE for 2021?
