Asterion Industrial Partners

Anyone know anything about this firm or firms like it. Middle market european firm dealing in infrastructure in the EU it seems, anyone know similar ones as well? How to enter, pay, culture, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Ignore title.

Extremely well respected within the Infra space, Jesus is very well connected in Iberia and while firm centered around Jesus, not a one-man shop. Guido and Winnie are very good in their own right.

Fundraising for all funds so far done in c. 6 months.

Carried for Juniors as noted above - also on facility so you contribute nothing to gp cmt.

how do they stack up vs peers in your view (e.g. basalt, infracap etc)?

They seem to be growing rather fast

I can't comment on Basalt / Infracap as I don't know inner workings personally. My outside opinion is that Asterion > Basalt >> Infracap.

If I had a choice to join any infra shop in Europe right now, i'd choose Asterion as a junior. People are extremely sharp, no egos, I was personally very impressed.

They are still at a stage where rapid scaling is possible quickly (i'm talking about doubling fund sizes), you'll hopefully be promoted within a fund cycle and can gain carry from the next fund (It's much harder to double a 5-7bn fund size where the likes of InfraVia are at now).

P.S. I do not work at Asterion or its competitors.

If you don’t work there / competitor, were you on a deal with them or?

Agreed on basalt / infracap
