Automotive/Auto Aftermarket PE Funds
Hey everyone,
Does anyone have any information on buyout funds that are particularly active in the auto (T1 + T2 OEM suppliers, probably not T3) and/or auto aftermarket space (parts retail, collision, retail service, etc)?
EV technology and suppliers would also be interesting, although I imagine these would more tailored for a GE investment.
I have seen a couple articles online but nothing substantial in terms of specific firms' activity or investment strategy.
Insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
do you work at Jefferies boston or smth lol
no haha
H&F, OMERS, and LGP collectively own the largest collision repair business after merging Caliber and Abra
Check out Stellex and MiddleGround, both like the space.
Great thank you!
Not pureplay PE but if you are interested in cars - Fontinalis is really cool.
Also Clearlake has a bunch of auto-exposure.
Fraser McCombs Capital — Red McCombs’ family office down in Austin — does have a dedicated automotive fund. But I will echo that this is a specific enough sector that funds (even groups) dedicated to it are the exception
