Buyout or growth?
Both are strong, especially buyout. HC buyout is one of their most active teams from what I’ve heard. I work in large cap PE and have heard good things about them.

Do you know anything about their interview process? Is it technical heavy?
How would you compare TPG to other non-NYC MFs like H&F, Bain, Carlyle, silver lake etc?
They used to interview frequently for lateral hires because they burned through associates really quickly and a lot of them quit early. The culture is apparently awful and it’s an absolute sweatshop. Maybe that’s changed but that was the case when I interviewed with them a few years ago.
