BB in Chicago any shot at MF PE ?
Do megafunds recruit from top banks outside of NY/SF, pretty interested in PE but not sure if PE shops recruit from BB’s in Chicago?

You might get some looks assuming you have some other nice characteristics like target school, good GPA, good deal experience. I would not say that you are the target demographic for MFs though. Not saying this is impossible but there are a lot of folks who can be hired out of NY and SF already in good groups (BB/EBs) that folks don't need to look towards Chicago. Additionally, being in Chicago will probably put you at a disadvantage should firms move back to fully in-person interviews rather than the current hybrid model as you are in a different city entirely.

definitely difficult to land on cycle given logistics, but fairly easy to do off cycle if you’re good. I think traditionally the top BBs and EBs have done well
