BCI (Pension Fund) Comp/Exits vs. OTPP/CPP etc
Can't find much info on BCI's comp/exits vs that of other prominent Canadian pension funds (ie. OTPP, CPP, AimCo etc). Particularly interested in the junior level (Analyst/Associate) within their direct PE group, but would also appreciate any info on Public Markets and/or support functions like Compliance/Ops etc
bump
Think comp. would be around $250 all in for 1st year associate. Can definitely go to other pensions and if you develop yourself well i.e. develop strong modelling skills then MM/UMM/MF in US are also viable exit options.
Thanks for the insight. Any info on Analyst salaries? and re exit ops to US firms, has that been common?
Less sophisticated and less direct than the top tier pensions but still a decent seat if you want WLB / chill lifestyle
Right. Do you have any insight as to potential movement between BCI and the top pension funds (OTPP, CPP) or even Canadian PE firms like Altas or Onex?
IMO
Top tier pension - possible especially early on as a lateral if in a similar group at BCi, but more difficult in this slower market
Altas/Onex - very unlikely, I’d say lateraling to a MM/LMM fund is more realistic
There was a recent lateral to Onex.
There was a sunshine list from BC that showed associates making ~$100k - is this not true?
Can anyone confirm
last bci sunshine list was 8+ years ago. not true anymore
