Best Chicago Funds in 2022 and Beyond?

What are people's thoughts on this? I'm headed to BB IBD in NYC but interested in being in Chicago afterward. I know the big names are MDP, GTCR, and BDT and there's some other really strong players like Linden and Vistria among others. Anyone have thoughts on these places as well as the general chicago PE landscape? Thanks

Very strong healthcare-focused shops in Chicago… if you're interested in the space, I'd take a serious look at Linden, Vistria (not exclusively hc), Roundtable, and Water Street. Most if not all hire after 2 years of IB.

Wind Point good in middle market not mentioned yet. GTCR and Vista best undoubtedly. Know multiple people who turned down MFs and funds twice the size of GTCR to go there.
