A little background - currently an analyst at an EB in Houston and looking to hop in on the PE recruiting season (sticking with energy, no preference in vertical but mostly upstream O&G experience thus far). Trying to figure out who has the best mix of dry powder, vertical preference (most MFs are moving away from traditional O&G so I lose my leg up on recruiting), and fund size (fine with long hours so many of the MFs/UMMs are attractive). Does anyone have line of sight into what the current landscape looks like, especially in Houston?
