Best growth equities in London?

Hey guys, I just recently came across growth funds and find the concept really interesting. I was wondering, what are the best growth funds in europe? I know obviously KKR and BX have growth funds, and Warburg does a lot of growth, there is also TA, General atlantic, one peak, TCV (no interns or analysts), advent, etc.

are there other growth funds that I am missing? maybe in the MM area?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some notable growth equity funds in Europe, including London:

  1. MegaFunds with Growth Arms:

    • KKR (Next Generation Technology Growth)
    • Blackstone Growth (BXG)
    • Warburg Pincus (main fund does a lot of growth deals)
  2. Top Growth Equity Players:

    • General Atlantic
    • TA Associates
    • TCV (though they don't typically hire interns or analysts)
  3. Mid-Market / Smaller Growth Equity Funds:

    • One Peak
    • Summit Partners
    • Insight Partners
    • Providence Strategic Growth (focused on software buy-and-build strategies)
    • Silversmith Capital Partners
    • Level Equity
    • Lead Edge Capital
    • Great Hill Partners
    • Accel (late-stage VC leaning towards growth)
  4. Venture Capital Firms with Growth Funds:

    • Sequoia
    • Index Ventures
    • Bessemer Venture Partners
    • General Catalyst

These funds vary in size and focus, so it’s worth researching their specific investment theses and portfolio companies to find the best fit for your interests.

I might have missed a few below but those from the top of my mind. All of these are solid places in my opinion.

There is more than you would expect. The scene grew a lot over the last years :)

Softbank Vision Fund

Axa Venture Partners

OTPP Growth aka Teachers Venture Growth

Sprints

GS Growth

Kinnevik

Bregal Milestone

Speedinvest (sometimes looking for VC and sometimes for growth)

Lakestar

Accel-KKR (separate sourcing and separate execution associates)

Left Lane

Verlinvest

Vitruvian

SEP (or Scottish Equity Partners)

Balderton

Hedosophia

They do very different things so I would not "tier" them. As an example, TA also does control investments and not just traditional minority growth investments.

As mentioned before, any of these places is a solid one. Don't think you can go wrong with any of these as long as you like growth equity.

Generally, rankings make much less sense in investing overall.
