Best Industrials MM / UMM PE Firms?

Incoming analyst at an EB in the industrials group interested in MM / UMM PE. What are some of the best performing funds that focus in the industrials sector? Looking for funds in the $3B - $10B range - any insight would be greatly appreciated.

KPS and HIG were on my list already but haven't heard of Platinum or Lone Star much. How would you rank these four firms?

Very helpful, thanks. Any insight into Platinum and Lone Star? Haven’t heard of those funds as much.

Platinum is very operationally focused and hands on. Supposedly very sweaty. Also not really sure if I would call them UMM solely based on deal size. Do a lot of large cap deals such as diversey for 4.6B or Ingram for 7.2B.

Bump on AIP and Ridgemont - have bumped across both and worked with one on a club deal, both very sharp, strong returns and nice people

Bertram is just below your range in terms of fund size. Came across the industrials team quite a bit while I was in banking and know that they’ve really killed it on a few deals. Under the radar but always thought highly of their seniors. SF based which is tough though
