Blackstone Strategic Partners - Secondaries (Recruiting, Comp, Culture)

Currently a first year at a top BB/EB looking to learn more and break into Blackstone Strategic Partners (their secondaries investment arm) as an associate after banking. Could anyone share more information on how recruiting works? I know they have a pretty developed analyst program out of undergrad, so are openings to come in after banking rare? Or do they participate in on-cycle recruiting as well to recruit bankers?

Information on compensation and culture/wlb would be helpful as well. Couldn't really find much info on WSO regarding Blackstone's Strategic Partners division. Thank you!

Strat partners is one the largest secondaries players. Their strategy is more lp portfolio driven rather than gp-led secondaries. Therefore, your skillset gained will be more on the diversified portfolios front... if you end up wanting to lateral to a more gp led/ coinvestment / direct role later, it might be a bit more challenging, though I’d imagine you would still get interviews. They predominantly hire at the analyst level and promote within to associate/vp. However, given the scalability of the strategy, there is a very narrow bottleneck for more senior promotion. Comp is great relative to street. This is all from my observation based on interactions with people there.
