Did first round for Analyst role with one associate, she managed to cramp in a 45 min interview into a 30 min slot, was tough technicals

This is such a cool and special group, my friend just started here from GS SSG (now GSAM). I hear some crazy and amazing things about it, like a flexible hedge fund that also does private equity in Blackstone. Not just looking at your standard boring large cap competitive buyout all the time.
This is so wrong. I work at a fund that you would name in one breath with Bx TacOpps and we never see them in any of the deals we do (ie large cap special sits, public and private, equity, credit and anything in between)
Its a super hard job to get, the people are usually ex private equity and move across to do more interesting and challenging stuff, while still doing private equity deals. Doubt you will get the job without more experience
As someone who was there. I disagree. It’s really not a hard job to get. They convert 100% of summers every year (only BX BU to do this)
This guy got kicked out so he is sour. He got moved on and now is butthurt. Also HUB got done via a huge secondary equity deal a few months after the strategic raise. QQ.
