Breaking back into PE post-MBA
How difficult is it to break back into PE after getting a top 10 MBA in these four scenarios? 1)Coming from a megafund. 2)Coming from a middle market firm. 3)Coming from a lower middle market firm. 4)No prior PE experience

There are obviously exceptions. But in general, it’s much easier to move downstream (e.g., from a MM to a LMM) than the opposite. In particular, most MFs promote internally and therefore do post-MBA recruiting only by exception. without prior PE experience, it’s nearly impossible.
