Hope everyone is in the same boat. I haven’t even hit the desk yet. How the fuck am I supposed to be able to do a full fledged LBO from scratch and have a full on thesis for the “deals I worked on” which was just editing logos on PowerPoint? This is absurd.

You’re deal walkthroughs are irrelevant but the LBOs are something you don’t really learn in IB anyway so I would focus on that / what you can control

As far as deal experience goes, just do your best. But the LBO you will need to do on your own time anyway. Banking won’t teach you that skill. Although intimidating at first, you’ll surprise yourself on much you’ve learned on just 2-4 weeks of really hammering on LBOs.
