Can I interview with BX if I already accepted a summer internship offer in IBD?

I was just invited to a first round interview with BX for the sophomore program. I already accepted an offer from a top BB (GS/MS). Is it still ok to interview with BX? Since they are not a competing bank? Should I tell them right off the bat I accepted somewhere else or I could do that during the interview? Obviously I wouldn't want to reneg on my other offer unless I get confirmed. Any advice?

I agree with above^. Thank BX for the opportunity and ask to be considered for other opportunities later. Tell them who you accepted with. You are just a sophomore so you will have many more opportunities to interview. You will be even more valuable with more experience. If you act like you trading offers, it won't look that good.

Do what you want not what you can!

TigerlilyThanks! Maybe I can tell them I accepted an offer already but would love an informational interview... On another note since they posted their program so late (mid-April) wouldn't pretty much all qualified candidates already have accepted offers with other firms?

This is a great idea. Lets you keep your offer (and not burn bridges) while still showing that you are interested in BX. Plus it shows that you have integrity which is important. Congrats on the offer btw.
