Capital Raising / IR for Mega PE Fund

Anyone doing this or a similar role? Trying to get a sense of excitement vs boredom, as well as long-term value, especially if you started did investing at some point before. Invariably the key draw is building relationships with LPs, but trying to get a sense of whether the long-term value of that justifies the day to day of the job. Also would appreciate views on comp.
