CAZ investments

Recently stumbled across them and was curious what some people’s thoughts were on them as a firm? I’ve seen the founder in a handful of interviews and peaked my interest in the firm. They seem to run a pretty slim team and manage a good amount of money.

I know people there. CAZ is a Texas-based firm that raises money from HNWI, UHNWI and family offices, and uses feeders, mostly evergreen, to invest in external funds, although they do have a couple of proprietary products. The founder/CEO, Chris, is ambitious and a great salesman. And yes, they are distribution channel.

Can you provide more detail as to why con artists and not investors?

My experience with them is that they aren't really an investor. They simply create feeder funds for high net worth investors to access other groups products like Blue Owl and Arctos. I reviews some of their PCAPs and financial statements and there was terribly transparency, the layout was awful, and it didn't look institutional or professional in approach. I spoke with a director there on the distribution side and he had no idea what he was talking about. I'd avoid.
