Changing Industries(?) --> Buyside
Hi,
Currently a IB analyst in a pretty specialized industry verticle. Would it be difficult to switch industries while making the jump to PE/HF? Debating whether or not I should try my hand at buyside recruiting or if my time would be better spent lateraling to another IB industry group and then moving to the buyside after a year or so there.
Thanks!
Analyst as in which group and what year?
If you're a second year analyst working in Cross Border transactions, I'm not sure if you'll make it in time.
In a FIG group - so not ebitda modeling experience. If i were to later, probably go as a 2nd year.
If its a good bank there are opps with FIG.
