Clairvest Private Equity

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone from Toronto is familiar with this mid market PE shop.

Looking to hear your thoughts in terms of deal flow, sector expertise, work/life balance, comp, growth opportunity and any other thoughts you have from directly working there or through word of mouth.

Thanks!

Sure. They are a publicly traded PE firm which is kind of interesting, and it was founded and run by the Rotman family. They do some cool deals - mostly dental / gambling / weirdly a lot of plane stuff. The mostly do minority / significant minority deals, and I believe the care deeply about founder rollover.

Culturally I have heard good things as well. No idea on comp, I’d assume same as a BH or TQ. Upward mobility, also not sure better to creep people on LinkedIn.
