Cold-emailing PE firms for an internship - to email HR directors or Investment team?
Currently trying to land an internship in PE firms that don't advertise, but where I know they have programmes. I'm wondering what the best approach is, specifically who to contact. It seems obvious to email the HR team, especially recruitment/talent acquisition, as they will be the ones dealing with hiring. But this doesn't seem to be the approach that people advise online - they seem to advise writing to investment professionals, which seems less intuitive to me. Can anyone advice on who would be best to contact?
Many thanks
