roughly from $150k - $250k...depending on the fund and location obviously. I would say an avg of $180-190.
Just to make it clear I meant to say a second year pre-mba associate with one year of experience in PE. Do the numbers you said still stand?
Average of 180-190 is pretty spot on. But I have heard of as low as 140 and as high as 220.
yes, the #s still stand. I'm actually in PE in my 2nd year (pre-mba analyst / associate - called different titles at different funds)
I will be paid slightly below the average ($80k base, probably $85-90k bonus) from what I've heard is the norm. so i'm expecting $165-$170k and I know guys who get around $200k, or as high as $220k in my position (at the top funds)...but I actually have some semblence of a life.
