Management Meeting Dynamic
Curious to hear what everyone’s management meeting dynamic looks like, specifically with respect to who is taking up most of the air time from your team.
For example, is it mainly the Partner on the file that poses questions / engages the discussion, with Associates chiming in occasionally (10-20% of time)? Is it the opposite?
My experience has been mixed. If a Partner really likes a deal I find he will take up most of the air time, which can be incredibly frustrating. Curious to hear how this experience compares.
Wow that’s interesting at my place associates do not talk at management meetings at all…usually it’s the VP and partner driving
Same, we're probably 30-40% partner, 50-60% QB (VP/principal/bit of senior associate), 0-10% associate. Most of our associates say nothing or ask one question (if perhaps a second year). We sometimes even force speaking quotas on our quieter associates...so no, they're definitely not commanding the conversation ha.
