Hi all, I know these roles are fairly uncommon, but curious if anyone has any insight on compensation. I've heard various things ranging from "we pay our portfolio operations people as much as our deal team" to "you'll never make as much money in portfolio operations".

I am in the same boat. Trying to figure out what " **really ** entails being part of those portfolio ops groups - comp, work quality, travel, career progression, possibility of lateraling to the deal teams later ... and so on. Have reached out to folks in those groups recently, but yet to hear back.
