Conducting DD on a Small/LMM Fund
Hi all, how do y'all thinking about conducting DD on a small PE fund?
Background: founder has an MBA from H/S/W and was previously the head of a particular industry at a respectable (U)MM PE firm. Started his own fund ~6 years ago. AUM is a myth and they only have about 6 people in total, including 1 HR.
Vibe with the founding partner was good. Felt like he really cared about personal characteristics when it came to interviews. Some technical questions here and there, but in general behavioral focused.
