Conversion of participating interests to ordinary interests

Does anybody have experience of the treatment of LP's undrawn commitments to acquire participating interests when they resigns from an investment advisor? Is it common practice to convert their undrawn interests to ordinary interests, or would a special provision for this be required in the subscription documents? Fund in this instance is domiciled in Luxembourg.
