Corp dev / strat fin job market
Worked in top BB IB and currently at UMM/MF PE firm. Given market for PE is tough these days, how hard would it be to find a role in corp dev or strat fin?
What do these roles pay with the experience of 4YOE across IB and PE?
Thanks!

I'm sorry, but it looks like this may be out of my ability to answer... maybe some of the links below might help?
It is very doable. I personally know of a significant number of companies hiring for corp dev roles.
Broadly speaking, corp dev teams have the following hierarchy: analyst, manager, director, VP. This roughly lines up with the following from IB: analyst/associate, VP, D/MD, group head.
4 years of IB/PE puts you pretty solidly in the analyst/manager level. For larger and more sophisticated companies, you will more likely slot in as an analyst. If you are willing to move more down market, you are more and more likely to be able to finesse a manager level role.
You will most likely be taking a significant pay cut. It depends on the company, but there is a very good chance that you will be making less than $200k salary + bonus (ignoring any signing bonus).
Thanks j12. You said less than $200k all in. What should I expect in terms of base salary?
Here's one data point I know to be accurate/it was for a Corp Dev Manager position that did M&A and handles all capital market functions for a growing company in the Tech/Tech adjacent space
Required: 2-4 years of IB/PE experience
140K-155K + 15% bonus
MCOL city
This seems about right. OP should definitely not consider anything with "analyst" in the title. Manager with the OP's background should be about this range. Outside Tech maybe slightly lower but close enough.
Yeah, if you have 4 years of experience you should definitely not be an analyst. I have seen some decent "Analyst" jobs but they really seem tailored to Non-IBers or IB analyst. I have seen a little lower for non-tech roles, but generally think this is a market offer.
