Corporate Development to Private Credit Fund?

Hi WSO,

I currently have an offer for a corporate development role with a small [ ] group. They currently have Redacted The role will be involved in the whole m&a process including integration and also working on operational finance.

Would this experience help me get into a private credit fund? I am currently a Redacted with a boutique firm.

I have gone through a first round with a private credit fund for their healthcare vertical but the process is moving extremely slow. I am in loss in what I should do. Debating if I should take the CD opportunity or try for the private credit fund and if I don't get it I am okay with staying at my current job and continue trying.

Would love to hear your thoughts and inputs. Please let me know if you have any questions or need more clarification on things.

Thank you all!
