Deal Proforma vs. Annual Performance

PE guys: How does your firm handle annual reviews of performance against the committee-approved proforma and business plans at the company/asset and portfolio levels? The company-level guys will do budgeting mtly/qtly/annually, but, for example, how involved are your buyout guys post transaction? We are involved throughout the life of each investment, but I konw some firms, the bigger ones I believe, do a hand-off until exit.

Thanks,
