Debating between major switches
Hey everyone, I’m a sophomore at a mid tier SEC school (not vandy or Florida, but not Arkansas or Mississippi state) who’s looking into either ER, PE, or something along those lines of dealing with heavy analysis. I’m currently double majoring in finance and accounting and minoring in an analytics minor, but I’m not sure if I should change that minor or one of the majors to a statistics and data science major to better improve my analytical skills. Do you think that would be better suited for me to get a job, or should I stick with the minor. I have enough space in my schedule to make it work but I talked to my professor about it and he recommended I not add it because it’s college and I need to live a little. What do you guys think I should do so I can prepare myself for a high finance role and get a job offer.
Just stick with finance and accounting. whatever you need to learn to do a job you will learn from actually doing it.
