As a Private Credit analyst you do LBO modelling. I don't get it. Private Credit LBO Modelling is the same as in PE, just without the equity return part.

It is possible to switch to PE, but expect to land more in lower midcap. I am currently doing the same (also analyst at a direct lending/mezz fund). Had one UMM PE interview and more LMM interviews. Would not switch to IB, it’s not worth it. Also, it’s weird going from buyside to sellside and back again.
