Delayed final round feedback
My recruiter said they'd have a catch up last Friday with a fund I did final rounds with last week. I haven't heard back yet and the recruiter says their debrief/decision meeting was pushed. From your experience, how likely is it the meeting was actually pushed vs. I'm on a waitlist right now in case someone doesn't accept their offer?
Thanks just trying to get a feel for what I should be expecting at this point
Anyone some insight / experience please?
Depends on the nature of the position you were recruiting for? Is this associate offcycle? Rough size of the fund?
It's in Europe, Associate hire, "off-cycle" but it's not as structure here as in the US. Fund is ~$10bn but the European team far smaller with ~10-15 guys total (out of ~100 total for the fund)
Did you do virtual interviews? If so then it's believable since it's not like everyone talked right after you finished, which is often the case with onsite interviews where it's almost determined on the spot.
This was virtual yes - got it, I'll just wait it out, unfortunately not much you can do at this point. Thanks for the comment, just a bit nervous because I know it wasn't perfect
I'm in a similar position, off-cycle, had the final round and waiting in limbo. I'm thinking I got cut, but honestly hard to tell.
What happened? Also in similar position - was told a week ago that it is down to me and another candidate, got another email yesterday saying that they are still having internal discussions and they would let me know soon, but I'm starting to think they offered to the other candidate and are waiting for his response.
That's exactly what happened - I've been there, it sucks, sorry bro
