Do PE firms and smaller investment banks sponsor visas?

I am a foreign national currently on H-1B status (working as a consultant at MBB who graciously sponsor visas). I am thinking about making a transition to finance next year (probably into PE, although I am also considering investment banking surprise surprise). I know the big banks definitely sponsor visas, but I am not sure about the big PE firms (KKR,TPG) and independent advisory banks (Evercore, Lazard etc.). Does anyone have any information on this? Since I am already on H-1B status, I am hoping that the firm in question won't have to go through a particularly expensive/traumatic application process. However, a change of employer application IS filed as a new Visa application (cap exempt though) so if the firm as a matter of policy does not sponsor visas then I'll be out of look.

Would appreciate any help. Thanks!
