Do you enjoy your job?/Reflection

I am a college freshman with goals of high finance. Ideally LO PE (if I can get in)

But I was asked, “if you won the lottery ($1b), would you still do that job?”

It kinda made me think, how many of you guys would still be in PE/IB if you financially had “F*ck You” money? And to what extend to you enjoy your careers? Any advice or anything you would/wouldnt do?

If 1bn showed up in my account I'd quit and permanently follow the "billionaire's vacation circuit".

$1bn didn’t fall into my account, but enough did to make me retire very early (35yo) and permanently travel. I didn’t hate the job but now that I’m actually living life, I cannot imagine going back to the office grind on a permanently basis.

Incredibly satisfied. I’m the happiest person I know. I have very brief, fleeting moments of regret when I think about how much more money I could have in the bank, but it fades very quickly when I think of having to sit in an office all day long. I’m not one to get bored although it certainly is a risk for a lot of people. The key is to maintain hobbies and be comfortable spending a lot of time alone. This year I spent march in Valencia, the summer in Sardinia (Italian island), visited London / Germany / Jordan, and winter in Cape Town South Africa. Next year is almost definitely going to be something similar with loads of travel. Everyone’s personal goals and ambitions are different, but I wouldn’t trade my life for unliked first class / fancy cars / fancy dining.
