Does Bain Capital hire bankers?
Starting full-time at an EB (EVR/PJT) and interested in them for on-cycle but have heard that they've preferred consultants for associate hiring in years past, is it an uphill battle from IB?

I know they've hired out of EVR and GS TMT in the last year but it does seem like there's a preference for consultants, especially out of Bain and Co. I wouldn't imagine that it would be an uphill battle, though.
.
What have people been saying about Bain Cap? Also which other consulting friendly firms would you suggest?
Lmfao every single Bain thread on this site has similar-sounding negative comments from an "Associate Consultant in Consulting" - probably struck out in recruiting, would take with a grain of salt.
@OP - they definitely hire bankers on-cycle.

They hire a fair number of bankers. I thought the split was usually around 50/50 but I could be mistaken. As you'd expect, they have one of the highest concentrations of consultants among PE funds. Multiple kids from my bank (CVP/LAZ/MOE) got interview invites though no one in my class landed an offer.
