Does this sound like FoF?

Hi guys, just wanted to know whether the below job description sounds like an FoF role. Thanks!

We are looking to hire for our Direct Equity and Direct Credit teams. These teams are responsible for evaluating direct investment opportunities. They monitor and report on existing investments as well as research and analyze new opportunities as part of a “Deal Team.”  Direct Equity and Direct Credit team members support senior “Deal Captains” and are exposed to a broad group of private equity fund managers.

Candidates who are invited to interview will meet with both the Direct Equity and Direct Credit teams. Based on the teams’ needs and the candidate’s interests, successful candidates will be hired for either Direct Equity or Direct Credit.

As a first year Direct Equity or Direct Credit Analyst, your day-to-day will look like this:

  • Assisting deal teams with specific analyses of opportunities to invest directly into companies alongside private equity fund managers
  • Receiving exposure to private equity asset managers, called “General Partners," and their targeted investments by analyzing investment materials
  • Completing desktop company and industry research
  • Creating model based financial forecasts, return sensitivities and other quantitative analyses
  • Monitoring of portfolio companies across several co-investment platforms and strategies
  • Assisting with client requests pertaining to investment portfolios and participating in on and off-site meetings with general partners and/or management teams
