Dominus Capital

Is anyone familiar with this firm? It’s a Quad-C spin out run by Gary Binning, Bob Haswell and Ashish Rughwani. I know Quad-C is a real firm but haven’t heard of these guys? Went on an interview for VP and reached out to some former employees on LinkedIn and nobody would speak with me. Let me know any thoughts.

Late to the thread so hope it’s not too late. AVOID at all costs. My b-school classmate worked here for a few years, was on partner track and still left. I remember him telling stories about the three partners you mentioned - horrible people only focused on generating fees from larger funds. Doesn’t sound like anyone stays here and LPs know it’s a ****show as they had a failed fund raise in the hottest market. He was miserable and couldn’t wait to get away from this place fast enough. There is a reason nobody will take your reference call on this place…

Agree with above comments. We used to be a LP but chose not to reup. Firm lacks any form of leadership or continuity. LinkedIn indicates they have lost a partner, principal, two VPs and an associate in the past twelve months. Never a good sign when everyone is bailing.

Hi - can I send you a DM of how LPs react to relatively new managers on their 1st or 2nd fund when there is a high level of turnover not just in the investment team but also in IR, legal etc? having a similar dynamic now at my current shop where no investment professional has stayed longer than 12 - 18 months.
