Entering PE with only 1 year of IB experience
How much of an uphill battle is it to enter PE with only a year of IB experience if you have almost a whole year of full-time work experience at a credit rating agency prior to your one year IB stint?
You could potentially interview for off-cycle roles, though most of the typical funds will want the full 2 years by the time you start. You’d likely need to target smaller shops and show that you have gotten great deal experience in your 1 year.
