EQT London
Any insights on culture, hours, pay etc for EQT London? Would be for a 2nd year associate position. How political is the org and ability to get promoted? PE buy out strategy

My understanding is that relatively quickly you mostly end up working for a partner (at least I have done 2 deals with the same deal team and it was the same partner/associate combo and apparently these two guys pretty much only work together). So that’s great in the sense that you’re not fighting too much to push back on stuff coming your way from 59 different guys and if he backs you up you can move up, but it’d better be a good partner. Also the firm has expanded a LOT over the last few years and is a very large shop these days, converting from Principal to partner will he the hard thing. But still overall a fantastic place if you want to do large blue chip TMT/Healthcare/Consumer Buyouts and other on trend deals paying 15x+ multiples.

advised them and a friend is there.
Do they still have ongoing recruitment for off cycle interns?
I understand culture there is very relaxed, not many suits in the office.
I would not want to work there when the market turns and half their portfolio is underwater. That being said, you will do deals.
Do you know which HH they use and if they hire laterally for associate level?
