European MM PE Funds w/Good Trajectory?
Hi all - current UMM PE associate in NY looking to lateral to Europe (EU and UK dual citizen) to be closer to home, and would love to get a good view on the landscape of European MM PE funds that have been on the upswing. Thanks!
Rhone Group does some pretty interesting deals, Quilvest's Paris office is pretty strong but heard culture is tough there. HIG Europe has had phenomenal returns.
Not sure Rhone is the best place for a career - pretty sure their fundraising isn’t / didn’t go well.
Typo
Anyone know how Eurazeo has been doing?
They’ve stopped taking outside capital and are effectively a family office now
Wow. Things gone that wrong there?
false. just look at their public filings. they bring in plenty of outside capital. investing less in US but still quite active overall and balance sheet less of their total deployment.
Look at some of the american tech funds’ European arms - Marlin and Francisco are all doing pretty well in Europe I believe.
Marlin Europe nearly closed down not too long ago
I did not know that, I thought that was the one part of their platform that is doing well.
Not true at all? They just raised a new fund recently…
Montefiore (Paris), Waterland (Paris/Brussels), IK Partners (LDN/Paris)
MM Funds with strong momentum: Verdane, Oakley, Nordic Capital, Ardian Expansion (not buyout!), Waterland
Second Ardian Expansion
Who is recruiter for Ardian? Can never find anyone
